My name is Sarah Foss and I am excited for the year ahead. This will be my second-year teaching. I graduated from Kent State University in 2016 and I completed my Reading Endorsement for grades K-12. I am currently earning my Masters of Reading at Bowling Green. Being a Mayfield alumna myself, I am passionate about teaching in this wonderful district.

 

You and your second grader can use this website as reference to find resources and tools throughout the year. As we transition into the digital age of education, we will practice using many different types of technology based materials throughout the year. You can also find personalized learning strategies for your child and an abundance of websites, apps, and presentations for you to explore.

 

As an educator, it is my goal to be the person in each of my student’s lives that gives them the confidence and learning tools they need to succeed. I know that all children are capable of learning and growing. It is my responsibility to provide my students with opportunities to develop academically and as individuals. In my classroom, students will learn how to be respectful, open-minded, caring people who will grow up to be active members of society. I will set high expectations for my students and encourage them to strive for excellence. I understand the dedication and importance of my work as I have chosen to meet, teach, and inspire the future of our world each and every day. It is my passion. I will be a model for my students through my teaching and actions. I will be available. I will be present. I will instill a senses of self-efficacy in each and every one of my students as I guide them to disciover their own strengths and passions.
